Trusted Connectivity Alliance: November Member News

Welcome from the TCA Chair

The past month has seen the industry gather across the world to explore the future of secure connectivity.

As an organisation that is committed to promoting interoperability and enhancing security at scale across the IoT, TCA welcomes the recent publication of GSMA’s new IoT SAFE Test Specification.

As the IoT ecosystem expands to encompass billions of devices, the serious limitations and implications of fragmented and complex security approaches are being laid bare. That is why IoT SAFE is such a compelling proposition. By leveraging the proven, advanced security features of SIM solutions, it provides a globally standardised, secure-by-design approach to safely and efficiently manage a vast base of connected devices.

TCA was a key contributor to the specification and continues to work with GSMA and other industry partners to shape the ongoing standardisation and enhancement of SIM and eSIM technologies.

This includes GSMA’s new eSIM for IoT specification – SGP.32. To promote industry understanding as adoption starts to build, TCA hosted an exclusive webinar with GSMA that explained how mobile operators, IoT developers and service providers can use SGP.32 to accelerate deployments, while promoting the simple, reliable and secure connectivity that is needed for the IoT to scale. Thank you to everyone that attended.
