Welcome from the TCA Chair

With the latest TCA member data – which will be announced soon – showing surging adoption of eSIM technology, our mission to promote and drive interoperability becomes even more important and urgent.

The recent launch of the TCA eSIM Interoperability Service – delivered by COMPRION – promises to promote increased confidence and trust across the eSIM ecosystem by enabling operators to proactively test that their eSIM profiles are interoperable with a wide range of commercially available devices prior to deployment. This is particularly beneficial for Tier 2 and 3 operators with more limited resource for comprehensive in-house testing.

We will also shortly be releasing the latest version of the eUICC Profile Package: Interoperable Format Technical Specification. The specification, which supports the consistent remote loading of subscriptions onto eSIMs across deployed devices, is a foundational-enabling technology used in every eSIM deployed in the field.

More broadly, we are also reactivating our Interoperability Working Group to promote the interoperable deployment of eSIM-based applications and support the delivery of various value-added services.
