Trusted Connectivity Alliance: March 2025 Member News

Welcome from the TCA Chair

The latest market monitoring figures from Trusted Connectivity Alliance (TCA) show that eSIM shipment volumes, collectively reported by TCA members in 2024 surpassed half a billion units, increasing 35% year-on-year to reach 503 million. Consumer eSIM profile downloads also rose by 56%.

As the eSIM ecosystem continues to expand, TCA is committed to shaping the continued standardisation and enhancement of eSIM technology in close collaboration with leading industry stakeholders.

The latest release of TCA’s Interoperable Profile Package Specification is a clear reflection of this commitment. Published in March, Version 3.4 of TCA’s eUICC Profile Package: Interoperable Format Technical Specification includes major updates to enhance remote SIM provisioning for 5G and constrained IoT devices, and promote security and interoperability. You can read more on this below.

On behalf of the TCA Board, I am also pleased to welcome Redtea Mobile as the latest member to join our organisation. TCA members also play an important role in shaping the evolution of technologies that deliver flexible connectivity, advanced security and enhanced experiences for an array of use cases. We look forward to working with Redtea Mobile to promote secure, reliable and scalable eSIM connectivity.
