Director of Business Development, IDEMIA
Remy Cricco has been with IDEMIA since 2006. Within his current role as Director of Business Development, Remy actively contributes to the creation of new revenue streams across secure products and solutions.
Prior to this, Remy headed the Business Line for Embedded Products and Solutions, bringing flexible connectivity and secure IoT services to mobile network operators, service providers and OEMs.
Before joining IDEMIA, Remy held various Technical and Business positions across the Telecom and Semiconductor industries, including roles at key players such as ST Microelectronics, GFI, Gemplus (now Gemalto, A Thales Company) and Atmel (Now Microchip). Remy holds an engineering degree in software and electronics from Polytech Marseille, France (1997).

Stephane leads the worldwide market research, offer definition, channel strategy and communication activities of the Gemalto embedded SIM and embedded Secure Elements for consumer and IoT.
Prior to his current position, Stephane held roles in R&D, product management, strategic programs and acquisition integration manager within Gemalto. He then joined the IoT Business Line to develop the smart manufacturing business.
He holds an engineering degree from the Grande Ecole Supelec Paris.
Head of Global Strategic Standardisation, G+D Mobile Security
Claus Dietze is Head of Global Strategic Standardisation within G+D Mobile Security.
Prior to his current role, Claus held various positions within G+D since joining in 1996. He was Product Manager for payment terminals, responsible for electronic purse systems. After that, Claus joined the telecommunications business unit as a Project Manager.
From 2002-2003, Claus was seconded to the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) in France, supporting the technical committee Smart Card Platform (SCP) and the 3GPP Working Group responsible for smart card applications. In 2009, Claus was appointed Director and Head of Embedded Development for mobile device solutions and software security. Before changing to the technology office of G+D Mobile Security, Claus headed the Innovation department from 2014 onwards and was responsible for the development of new technologies.
Claus has a master’s degree in Computer Sciences from the Collaborative University of Mannheim.
Central Marketing Director, Incard Division, MMS Group, STMicroelectronics
With a Ph.D in Physics gained from the University of California, Michele Scarlatella has held academic positions at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in Palo Alto, High Tech industry for IBM and Silicon Graphics.
In 1988 Michele moved back to Europe and worked first as a Product Designer and then as a Product Marketing Manager in telecom equipment’s & payment terminals with the IPM Group. He started activities in the smart card sector in 1991, developing successful products for point of sales (POS) payphone services, card batch processing, fraud management, secure application module development and key distribution systems, with a worldwide footprint.
He was Founder and Chief Technical Officer of a network security start-up (eMaze Communications) serving several blue-chip companies before joining STMicroelectronics in 2004 in the Incard business unit. In ST, Michele started as a Product & Application Director for smart card products and was soon appointed to the position of Vice-President Marketing of the incard BU . In 2010 he became Central Marketing Director of the Secure Microcontroller Division of STMicroelectronics.
In 2013, he joined as Director of Strategic Planning team of the Microcontrollers, Memories and Security promoting Secure IoT solutions. Since 2017, he is Director at Strategy Technology & Systems Architecture, Microcontrollers, & Digital IC Group of ST. Michele has been an elected Member of the SIMalliance Board since 2009.
He was also a Board Director of the Smart Payment Association, and is a Member of the IEEE Communication Society, Computer Society and ACM/SIGSEC (Association for Computing Machinery, Special Interest Group in Security).
R&D Director, Smartcard & Platforms, VALID
Since May 2016, Bertrand has held the position of R&D Director Smartcard & Platforms, VALID.
He started his career in the semiconductor industry with Product Marketing positions at ST and Texas-Instruments. He later joined Gemplus, where he managed Latin American operations for ten years, and Oberthur Technologies. Bertrand then took up a position as CEO at Avilinks, before joining Inside Secure in 2006, and then Dictao, later acquired by IDEMIA.
